Herald & Jolien Kruizinga donated books and sports materials
We are Harold Patty and Jolien Kruizinga from The Netherlands. We came in Kathmandu, Nepal on 17th January 2011. After having a one week Nepali language and sight seeing, we started our voluntary work at the CBIA School which is run by Volunteer Society Nepal.
Harald is a professional painter in the Netherlands. Therefore, he started to paint the walls, doPreview Changesors and windows from the classes 3 to 7 at the school
Jolien’s worked as a teacher at the school. She gives English lesson and helping the students with the subject ‘Math ‘.
Before we came to Nepal, we asked family and friends for a donation. We use the donation for C.B.I.A. We bought also things in the Netherlands (like balls, pencils, flags, memo (paper), glow in the dark sticks, balloons, blowing bubbles and paint for the faces). We gave this all on the first day at the school.
As we also collected some monetary donation from friends and families, we asked teachers and the director what we can buy for the school as a donation which should be something small and can be used at the school and for the students. When we asked them, they said all reading books, books for the teachers and toys for the students.
On the Wednesday the 2nd of February 2010, we went to New Road with Director Tej, Vice Principal and in-charge for the pre-primary section and bought some reading books, books for the teachers for the subjects (like science and music) and stuff for the school and the students (like painting for decoration, boards, dart game, big cards with the world map, shuttles for badminton and pencils).
We are glad that we can help the school with this donation!
