We are a fully Nepali organisation so your money doesn’t go on salaries and office space in Europe or North America. We can keep our overheads lower, still provide excellent in country support, and also get more of your money going directly to where it helps Nepal’s poorest people.

As well as our flexible and tailored placements we provide exactly the same, if not better, Inductions, Support and Accommodation as many of the large international agencies that charge up to $1,100 for a 2 week posting. Your fees include:
- Food and accommodation from the moment of landing at the airport to the final day of your placement
- In depth cultural and language training
- Guided sightseeing in Kathmandu
- Arranged transfers to and from your placement
- Fully trained host families
- 24hr availability of VSN staff for emergencies
- Assistance with visas and pre-departure support
- Fundraising support
- Airport collection and drop off
- Support in booking any further travel in Nepal
The lower overheads then means more of your money goes to:
Operating Health clinics- Supporting schools
- Supporting orphanages
- Building much needed facilities
- Scholarships for low income students
- Saving for upcoming VSN programs
This cost does not include the following: visas ($30 a month), vaccinations, travel insurance, sundries such as personal items, extra beverages and entertainment (approx. $10/week) and airport tax ($23)
We do not request our volunteers to send money prior to your arrival in Nepal. Your word is enough to reserve your place with VSN.
