Volunteer Society Nepal : The best experience for volunteers, the best value for Nepal.
Music therapy has the ability to reduce the symptoms and development of dimension. It can also help overcome the challenges of a learning disability, whilst also increasing academic performance. That’s why we need music therapists to volunteer!
We regularly play musical instruments in the classroom. Children and staff play several types of musical instruments. However, they are not music therapists and we believe that your knowledge and skills could further increase the childrens experience. It will also teach the teachers new skills. This is extremely important for the development of our staff and the centre.
The children enjoy playing the musical instruments. It is new and exciting. Keeping the children entertained and engaged is important. It also helps them to learn and develop skills they would not if they were socially excluded at home. The teachers and the volunteers give a lot of efforts and ideas to improve the experience.
Overall, Nepal does not accept disabled people. It is not welcomed and therefore, the personal growth of these people is limited. At VSN, we believe these people should not be isolated. We want to help these people. Hence, that is why we set up the disability centre. We also want to help the parents of these children who need to work and cannot look after the children in the mornings and afternoon.
We have a small team of staff members. However, the work is challenging. That’s why we need your help to volunteer. If interested, please send us an email! We will be forever thankful and look forward to hearing from you.
