Volunteer Society Nepal : The best experience for volunteers, the best value for Nepal.
Volunteer Society Nepal is always on the look out for experienced fundraisers, grant writers and NGO developers. The reason is that we need help to improve the good work of Volunteer Society Nepal. Volunteer Society Nepal is a charity focusing on providing for disadvantaged women and children in Nepal. In Kathmandu we have a small office with a computer and internet access for volunteers. Hence you can use this if you want to look into improving our fundraising platforms.
Fundraisers are not necessarily required to have any particular academic background. Rather, many actually get their start working as volunteers for organizations such as VSN. To work as a fundraiser you should have a wide range of interpersonal skills. You should practice leadership and assertiveness. And you should be able to build relationships with donors and be creative. And you should also know how to effectively recognize prospective donors and be persuasive in their dealings with them.

Jason Carney from Canada has been with VSN for 3 months. He came to us as an expert in grant and proposal writing and has been very helpful in sourcing fund raising possibilities in Nepal. Jason has also established a new women’s group here in Kathmandu. After discussions with the women and other organizers he has set up skills training, legal training and English lessons for over 20 women in the area. The women are delighted to have this opportunity to gain some independence.

Extra hulp is altijd nodig in Nepal. Met vrijwilligerswerk draag je een steentje bij aan de ontwikkeling en opbouw van het land. Daarnaast is het ook een verrijking voor jezelf! Via onze taal en cultuur cursus leer je veel over de mensen, het land, de taal en de cultuur. Via ons kan je vrijwilligerswerk doen door heel Nepal. In onderwijs, constructie, zorg, etc. Samen kijken we naar jouw skills en zoeken we naar passend vrijwilligerswerk!

Spelen, verzorgen, lesgeven, het kan allemaal op onze kleuterschool. De kinderen zijn gewend om naast hun vaste ‘juf’ ook les te krijgen van vrijwilligers.
Na schooltijd ga je samen huiswerk maken, op excursie, koekjes bakken, sportactiviteiten doen of maak je simpelweg een wandeling in de buurt.
Bijzondere kinderen die bijzondere aandacht nodig hebben. Voor ervaren en onervaren mensen. Ga de uitdaging aan en krijg enorm veel liefde terug!
Een groep enthousiaste vrouwen die meer willen weten van de wereld en daarom super leergierig zijn. Help ze uit hun isolement en kom lesgeven.
Ook in kloosters is educatieve hulp hard nodig. Wil jij in een spirituele omgeving bijdragen aan een nieuwe generatie innovatieve, slimme en bevlogen monniken?
Help in een gezondheidspost, ziekenhuis, gehandicaptencentrum of andere gezondheidsinstelling op jouw niveau.
Help bij het bouwen aan een sterker en toegankelijker infrastructuur en gebouwen in Nepal.
